I have been in nursing for over 15 years with experiences in the Neuroscience and Trauma ICUs, leadership and operations, infectious diseases, comprehensive sexual health, and gender affirming care.
Over 10 years ago, I was using meth to the point of injecting it. Meth claimed my entire life and took my house, personal relationships, savings, friends, retirement, job, dropped out of school, astronomical credit card debt, and was diagnosed with HIV+. I literally lost everything but my 2 dogs, car, and nursing license. As I got my life back on track, just surveying the battle field of destruction was overwhelming.
I am using my nursing license, lived experience, and passion to help break the stigma around sexual health and substance use.
As a nurse, I swore to do no harm; but my lived experiences have changed my message to how can we do less harm in the things we humans do?
My goals are simple:
- Meet folks where they are!
- Educate and Empower people no matter where they are on their journey.
- Break the stigma around sexual health and substance use.
- Each year, I give back! Proceeds will go to LGBTQ+ health clinics and organizations that support sexual health and gender affirming care.
